1. Getting Here

Calgary International Airport + transport options

  • Winter Driving Conditions - they're really not that bad and no we don't live in Igloos....Our roads in the Mountain National parks are top notch highways, well maintained and passable all year round. Yes, we do have the occasional bad snow storm, but they are rare... and the RCMP will close highways that are not usable....

  • You do not need a 4X4 to get around, unless of course you want to drive one. Overall, the roads are great, just use extra caution during the winter, but do not be intimidated - JUST SLOW DOWN - the main hazard we face in bad weather is low visibility due to blowing snow.

More questions - click here for our Winter Drivinf FAQ's 2. Maps and National Park Fees

The Canadian Park system is quite different than other countries national parks - the mountain parks have visitor facilities and towns within the park boundaries.... which means Federal Government and you guessed it - User Fees...

3. Accommodations

Your choice of style or area; or heck just see all the choices that are available... just make your reservations now or you'll be disappointed

4. What's there to DO around here ???

The perennial favorite question - we've got some suggested itineraries, what not to miss, side trip options, etc ....

5. You're not in Kansas anymore Toto....

We have a lot of BIG animals around here and the ones that look docile are usually the ones that end up being NOT.
